Today was our first day at Wiggletime. Wiggletime is a 1/2 hr of story and playtime at the library. We have tried many times (or had good intentions) to go, but we could never seem to get going. It is on a Friday. ahhhh. But we went today, and found out that it was funnnn. We started with bubbles and a bubble song. You were not very brave with the bubbles, but sat and watched. We sang a few songs and read a couple of books. Some of the songs used hands and stomping and twirling. Something I have been wanting to do with you for awhile. I do not know many dancing or interactive songs for you to dance to so if anyone has suggestions on what and where to get them. I am waiting on daddy to download some, but if he doesn't know what to download then.....? We will keep trying and maybe ask at the library. ha ha
Bubble time. Very sticky bubbles that last and last and last. gooey.
Getting or giving "Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you see?" There was a story board where felt images of the characters were placed. A couple of the toddlers were running away with the characters. ha ha. It was cute. Dylan sat quite nice.
Dylan getting involved. It is nice to see you up with other kids. It is really cute watching you with others the same size. You all stand and stare at each other. I have to give you a nudge here and there to get you to stop staring. ha ha
I was not too sure what you were thinking at this point. You just got up on your own and went up to the librarian. Maybe you were thinking she was going to give you another book?? You stayed briefly and then came back to me. Cute cute cute. We shall be coming back to Wiggletime next week.
Hey Melanie, Samson and I are enjoying all of the new pictures of Dylan!
ReplyDeleteI have a few music suggestions for you! Samson really enjoys some of the classics from when we were kids: Raffi's "Singable Songs for the Very Young; anything by Sharon, Lois and Bram; and Anne Murray's "There's a Hippo in My Bathtub." All of the above have lots of upbeat songs that you can dance to, and do actions for as well. Hope that helps!
Take care,
Allana
