18 month Surgery Check up (rear)

Hi Dylan,

Today we went to see your surgeon for your 18th month check up. We have not seen him for a few months, so today's visit was not as smooth as all the others. Firstly, your appointment was right in the middle of your nap so you were VERY VERY tired. Secondly, you now seem to be scared of doctors and nurses. You had your 18 month check up at your doctors office 2 days earlier and you screamed, cried and crawled up me when the nurse tried to take your measurements. hmmm, what is happening to you??? And today was no differ, as soon as we walked into the exam room you clung on real tight to me. But we made it through the day, and guess what? We have made it through your surgery experience. We no longer have to do any more dilation's. We still have to make return visits to your surgeon to make sure as you grow, and your bowl movements change with food etc, that all is well, safe and comfortable for you. Only the best for my little man. I love you!

So after our visit to your doctor, I was hoping you would sleep on the drive home. "Noooooo way mommy", you are so aware of your surroundings that you had to point out every single Semi-truck on the HWY. It get's a little tiring for mom to have to listen to your persistent and insistent scream where I have to answer, "yes Dylan another Semi-truck", or "bridge", or better yet, "over the bridge", "under the bridge"........and so on and so on. So no nap on the way home, no nap all day meant I had to take you outside for a walk so you would stop clinging or screaming at me. Back to the school we went and running up and down the boardwalk until it was close to bedtime and daddy was to return home.

Below I have attached a few pictures as a reminder for you to see how your doctors appointment went. You had an audience in the waiting room. Everyone thinking "how cute are you". And you were very cute.

Playing with some wall toy where you had to move coloured balls around the maze.

A wobbly mirror. You played and bounce and "up down up down" in front of the mirror doing a few different expressions. ha ha. You made me giggle.
