Canada Day

A lazy day to start, a full afternoon including biking to town, parade and parks, to a long nap and evening fireworks. Nice day of celebrations and family time. Dylan enjoyed watching the parade and listening to the marching bands. The Shriners were great in the parade with mini airplanes, mini old fashion cars and mini buses. Most of the floats were practicing for the Calgary Stampede parade. So we were missing some of the local floats this year. After the parade we biked down to the river to see how much water was along the path that travels under the bridge. High water!

Trying to pick a spot along the very busy road.

Homemade Bath Bombs

http://www.marthastewart.com/271871/bath-fizzies

What an exciting time for me. I am starting to feel alive again just with finding this website. Pinterest, not really sure what it is actually, but what I sense from it gives me inspirations. You create boards of pins of websites of projects, ideas, colour, photography, hints and suggestions and make them your own. So far I have done Food - "Zucchini Boat", "strawberry cheesecakes", bath bombs, finger painting and a cleaning tip. More to come in the future with door stops, home made bed frames and ....the list will continue. Will I find me again that has been buried so long in a box. I hope so - but a improved version. Here's to me!

Some of the ingredients with prepping into ice cube trays.

The final orange scented bath "cube" bombs. Tried on my feet and Dylan's bath. They were fun. We will need to try more recipes to get just the right concoction for us. Can you see your future?

Squish, squash, squirt

Project #1

Squish, Squash, Squirt

With all the rain, brings new ideas to do. Dylan and I have not tried this before, so it was a fun new experiment for us both. Next time - a paint brush and more colours. Dyan - you use a little squeamish with different textures. Look at you go. "Squish, squash, squirt". Shaving cream and food colouring makes for fun in the tub. We usually use our crayons that you can see in the picture and drive road maps on the wall, but it takes a bit of scrubbing (if left on the tub) to remove the drawings. Lately, we been doing our road maps on the driveway. Fun Fun Fun!!
